What Is EagleFX?
Company Details
EagleFX is an established yet unregulated global forex broker. The company operates from its headquarters and origin office location in Dominica, providing straight-through processing (STP) conditions and ultra-fast trade execution. This means that the firm partners with several top investment banks and liquidity providers to remove dealing desk interruptions. As a result, spreads are tight and price quotes are fair. Clients can also use VPS servers to upgrade the already-rapid execution times and implement automated strategies 24/7 with low latency.
History
EagleFX has offered its financial services since 2019, during which time its founder has been recognised in global publications like Forbes and FPA. The online broker is suitable for all forms of traders, though it doesn’t have extensive educational material, which may put off inexperienced clients. The firm has more than 5,000 active live accounts in 188 countries, including Malaysia, India, South Africa and the UK. US clients can also open trading accounts.
Markets
EagleFX offers a good range of trading instruments for retail clients:
- Cryptocurrency – 38 digital currency CFDs like BTC & ETH, with crypto-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat pairs
- Commodities – Energies and precious metals, including oil, gold and platinum against the USD
- Equities – Stocks of 75 global companies, including Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola and Google
- Indices – 10 global indices, such as UK 100, US 30 and GER 40
- Forex – 50+ currency pairs, with majors, minors and exotics
Trading Platform
EagleFX offers traders the option to invest via the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) terminal. This globally-recognised trading platform is suitable for beginners and experienced swing traders. Clients can download the platform to PCs or trade via all major web browsers, including Google Chrome and Safari. However, the broker does not offer MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
Key features of MT4 include:
- Nine timeframes
- Live news streams
- Four pending order types
- Fully customisable charts
- One-click order execution
- Automated trading & APIs
- Three order execution types
- MQL4 programming language
- Direct access to expert advisors
- 30+ built-in technical indicators
- Historical data and transaction feed
- User-friendly, multilingual interface
The reputable platform creates a robust yet user-friendly trading experience. It is highly versatile and reliable, with micro lot size options. The range of charts and graphs will suit all styles and strategies, including those with swing trading time periods. Longer-term outlook chart viewing options may be particularly useful here. The broker’s FAQ page hosts a trading terminal self-help section with help and tips on login, connection and passwords.
Mobile App
MetaTrader 4 is available as a mobile application. EagleFX customers can get the app free of charge to iOS and Android (APK) devices via a download from the relevant app stores. You can access most of the features and functionality found on the web trader and desktop terminals.
Mobile-specific tools include:
- Live price alerts
- Sound notifications
- Financial news stream
- View full trading history
- Trade directly from charts
- Real-time price charts with zoom and scroll options
- Secure, instant chat with other traders, group chats and channel set up
Trading Accounts
Live Accounts
There is only one standard account type available for retail traders. Clients can access all trading instruments. Features include a $10 minimum deposit requirement and leverage rates up to 1:500. Position sizes are between 0.01 lots and 1,000 lots. Typically we would like to see some variations in account types, with premium features available to those with higher initial payments.
It is quick and easy for new EagleFX clients to open a live account. Simply complete the online registration form and start trading immediately. Swing trading customers can open an account in four currencies; USD, GBP, EUR or BTC (referred to in account funding as BITs). As the broker is unregulated, there are no KYC requirements such as providing identity verification or proof of residency. The broker also offers a swap-free Islamic account.
Demo Account
EagleFX swing trading clients can utilise a demo account. Consequently, clients can access virtual funds on the MT4 platform with simulated real-time market data. Paper trading accounts are a great, risk-free way for beginners to practise trading, learn about platform features and begin entering and exiting positions. It’s quick and easy to register for a demo account and we would recommend this before opening a live trading account.
EagleFX Leverage
EagleFX is not limited by regulatory restrictions, offering leverage rates up to 1:500. Forex pairs and precious metals can be traded at this rate, though other instruments have reduced limits. Remember, margin trading can amplify losses as well as gains. Check out the broker’s online margin calculator for a by-trade estimate.
- Stocks: 1:20
- Metals: 1:500
- Indices: 1:200
- Energies: 1:200
- Forex Pairs: 1:500
- Cryptocurrencies: 1:100
Fees
EagleFX charges a commission fee of $6 per lot round turn with variable spreads. Spreads are raw and range from 0.0 pips. Swap charges apply for any trades held overnight. However, we were pleased to see no inactivity fees applied to dormant accounts.
Payments
Deposits
EagleFX offers three deposit options, bank wire transfer, credit and debit card or Bitcoin. There are no transaction fees, though third-party charges may apply. Such costs can include mining fees, blockchain network payments and bank processing charges. A $50 minimum deposit applies to fiat deposits.
Withdrawals
Clients can withdraw from EagleFX accounts using the same three methods. Bitcoin withdrawals have a minimum limit of $10 or equivalent, though there is no maximum withdrawal limit.
EagleFX Regulation
The broker’s services are registered in The Commonwealth of Dominica. Currently, EagleFX is not regulated by any global authority. This means that there is no guarantee of a safe trading environment or financial fair play. Client protection is limited without regulation controls. And importantly, the firm does not provide negative balance protection.
Security
Traders should feel assured that MetaTrader 4 operates at a high level of client safety. All data exchanges are encrypted with data privacy protocols in place. Two-factor authentication (2FA) can also be added to MT4 accounts. This extra layer of security uses a verification code every time you log in to your online account via an authenticator app or email address prompts.
Education & Analysis
This review was disappointed with the lack of educational resources. Without this, the brokerage does not provide an accessible experience for newer investors. It would be good to see EagleFX develop in this area. Many competitors offer embedded YouTube content, tutorials and blog posts. With that said, there are some useful guides on the site, covering topics like how to open a trading account, how to make a deposit and how to enable one-click trading on MT4.
The broker has attempted to create an EagleFX community with the introduction of games. The owner and CEO developed a poker competition that can be played with other clients whilst waiting for price movements or global markets to open.

EagleFX Verdict
Our EagleFX review found the broker to be quite competitive, offering an international CFD trading service with access to MT4 and ECN pricing. While unregulated, leverage rates of up to 1:500 are generous and the acceptance of several cryptos for account funding combined with no minimum deposit makes the firm good for beginners. However, there is a limited range of educational material and the lack of regulation does raise some questions as to the safety of client funds.
